I have a delightful story relating the marriage of the above. The story comes from The Public Servicer, June, 1930. Edna Timmerman worked for thirteen years for the Public Service Department. They were married at Frieden's Evangelical Church located at 19th and Newhouse Streets. Mr. Bena is described as being very good looking with beautiful brown eyes.

I am not related but would like to scan a copy of this story to anyone interested.

Bena Family

I am looking for anyone who might be related to John Bena (Birthdate:7/1895). He came to the United States in the early 1900's from Czechoslavakia. I understand he had a wife and 2 sons, who I think were named Andrew and John. Does anyone know of this family? I have been searching for his family for many years. He died in 1966 and it was my wish to find and speak with his family. Please respond if you have any information.

Their mother's name was Anna and they came from Lavadka, Czechoslavakia and went to Illinois to a brothers house by the name of Stefan.
