Surnames: Bence, Pettigrew
I am sure my Great grandad was Frederick Thomas Bence born about 1835/6 I think in Corston, Somerset.He moved to Scotland and married Catherine Pettigrew. They had a few children one being Alfred Bence (my grandad)
Has anyone any information asto Frederick's parents & grand parents. Can anyone tell me why he moved upto Scotland? Was it to find work?
