Attention Alice and Lemuel Newman

Hi my name is Blair Paterson and I am writing from Nanaimo, British Columbia. I hope this message gets to you as it is about nine years after your posted date. On March 10, 1918, my mother, Nora Newman, was born in Winnipeg Manitoba. Shortly after her father, Charles Richmond Newman, died in Winnipeg (West Kildonan)in about 1917 or 1918, she was adopted out. On the adoption papers the mother's name was Emma Newman. My mother is now ninety years old and I am just surfing the net here tonight and I have come upon your information. This really is a shot in the dark but who knows and so I am sending this query.
