Louis Bendix, born 1847 Mai 12 in Berlin/Germany is a half-brother of the grandfather of my mother in law. Is it your´s?

Bendacks was probably just the phonetic spelling used by whoever was recording at vital statistics at the time. I have something on Sara Bendix in my files - but nothing on a Hans Jr. - perhaps he died young.

I would have to dig for my papers, but I think it is Barbara Wichterich that obit refers to - she was Margaret Bendix's sister.

William Ludwig Bendix

I am looking for desendants of William L. Bendix b. 1857 in Germany, d. 1939 in Texas. Children would be William Carl Bendix, b. 1876; and Fred Paul Bendix, b. 1887. The rest of his brothers changed their name to Benedett and I have information on all of them. But nothing since the 1940s for Wm Bendix. Can you help?

Looking for any information on my grandmother, Rosy Bensix who weas born in NYC probably the Bronx around 1875. She died in 1940. She was married to Sigmund Kraut. Any information would be great, thanks, Ken Kraut

I looked in my records and some of the other children of Charles and Eugenie Dutour were:

Marcel Bendix, b. 12/9/1894 LA Archives #105-1152
Palmyra Odette Bendix, b. 3/4/1893 LA Archives #97-179
Victor Benjamin Bendix, b. 2/16/1890 LA Archives #89-1159

There was also a Charles Louis Bendix born 9/24/1887 LA Arch. # 85-1042. The parents are listed as Leon and Eugene Dutour Bendix. I am not sure that this is the same parents as the other children but probably is. I have some other information on these people and will get that to you also when I send the other information.

thank you for the information. yes I would like a copy. Gerald B Young was my husbands grandfather and Theresa his grandmother. I don't have any other information on Theresa. Anything would help.

Although this is not my family line I do have a birth certificate and also a marriage certificate for Theresa Bendix. I got these from the LA Achives in Baton Rouge, LA while doing research there. I can scan and send you a copy of them if you like.
Anyway, here is the what is on them.

Birth Certificate: 113-158
Charles Bendix, a native of this city residing at 610 Carollton Ave. who hereby declares that on the twenty fourth of January 1898 (Jan. 24/98) at his residence was born a female child names Mary Theresa Catherine Bendix (white) Lawful issue of Deponent a native of this city aged 38 years, occupation Pipe coverer and Eugenie Dutour a native of this city, aged 31 years.

Marriage Certificate: 43-407
This is to certify, that, it appears from the Records of this office, that on this day....was registered a marriage, celebrated in the City of New Orleans, La., by Rufus? McHarly? on the 26 day of November 1919 between Gerald Benchman Young (24) years, a native of NOL son of ? J. Yound and Josephine Schaeffer and Miss Theresa Bendix (21) years, a native of NOL daughter of Charles Bendix and Eugenie Detour(sic). The celebration of the marriage was performed in the presence of the witnesses E. H? Drisade?, A? M. Young.

(Note: The handwriting on the marriage certificate was hard to read so some of the names I really couldn't make out very well.) I know from my research that Charles and Eugenie had other children but right now I can't remember what their names were.

I am looking for the Bendix Family. My husbands grandmother was Therese Bendix. She was married to Gerard B Young from New Orleans. Therese was born 01-24-1898 in New Orleans. Would like to find her parents and siblings.

His name is Oscar Bendix JOHNSON, who married Laura Bickerstaff.

Our Oscar Bendix b. Dec. 1870 in New Orleans, Louisiana was married to Adele Demare b. 1876 in Louisiana. They were married in Feb. 1893 in New Orleans. They had 6 children of which two were named Oscar.

David Oscar b. Sept. 1899 married Helen Frances Nagel in New Orleans in June 1925.

Oscar, Jr. b. Feb. 1903 married twice. First wife was Mary Anna Gomez, second wife was Anna Marie Schneider. Both of the wives names I got from the obituary of Oscar, Jr.

I don't have any Laua Bickerstaff concerning any of the Oscars. Hope this helps even if it only rules someone out.

Dear Mary,

I do remember a William Bendix, someone who was in the military, I believe. I remember so little from my childhood. Our family moved out to Long Island from New Jersey in the 1950's. After that, I don't think we had much contact with anyone. I get the impression that my grandfather, Fred, was sort of the family "loser." I never remember him working, just my grandmother Elizabeth. I don't know if he was ill and couldn't work, or just didn't want to!

My father, George, was the only surviving son of Fred and Elizabeth. Their son John died when he was five years old of pneumonia. George married my mother, Chisato, when he was in Japan after WW II.

If any of this sounds even remotely familiar to anyone in your family, I would appreciate a response.

I'm looking for any information about the family of George H Bendix, my father. His parents were Frederick Christian Bendix and Elizabeth Watt Bendix. My father's paternal grandparents were Louis Bendix and Chatherine Bushorn Bendix. The only other person I remember from my own childhood is a great-aunt named Alvina who lived in Teaneck, NJ, and a cousin named Cathy. I would like to find some relatives! My mother died when I was two years old, my father in 1974.

Am trying to find info on Herman George Bendix born 1876 Waukesha, WWIsconsin died 1939 in NYC. He married Mabel Maragret Garlinger. My father-in law-WIlliam Benton Bendix age 89-was second son after George Jr. died in infancy. Would appreciate any info.
