I'm looking for any information regarding the parents of a Major Bennett, born in Guilford, NC October 1819, married Catherine Malinda Hagee and died April 1889. I'm specifically in search of his parents (possible bastard child?). He and Catherine moved to Indiana and raised several sons in the Tipton, Howard County areas.
