There seem to be threads on here for Bennett families from Guernsey Co., OH, but none of them seem to match up to information I have. So I'm posting a new forum here.

I'm looking for descendants/lineage of a William H. Bennett (1788-1874, born in MD). He married a Margaret Slusher (1798-1883, born in PA) in 1817. Here is a partial list of children (per the 1850 census):

George (b. abt 1822)
Melinda (b. abt 1827)
Christopher (b. abt 1828)
Lydia (b. abt 1831)
Rachel (1833-1919, I have a death certificate for her)
Margaret (b. abt 1835)
Maria Jane (1839-1924, I have a death certificate for her)
William H (1842-1925, I have a death certificate for him)

There is another William H Bennett in Guernsey County at the time; this other William H Bennett is from Ireland and the set of children seems different at the 1850 census. So I don't think I'm getting families mixed up here.

The younger William H Bennett married a Martha Jane Campbell. They had a son Charles (1872-1950) who married a Lola Montress Denius. Their son Leo Leon Bennett is my dad's paternal grandfather.

Any information would be appreciated.
