Chuck, Tom and Mary were adopted by my Uncle, Bob Beno and his wife, Edna. Chuck Beno is my first cousin & was about 7 or so when he was adopted. Tom and Mary were adopted as infants. We all grew up in Council Bluffs, IA. I am not adopted.

BENNO/BENO surname

I have BENO and BENNO listings in my personal
database. The spelling varies in the birth
records of siblings in the same family.
They were from Birkenwald, Bas Rhin, France
prior to 1812; from Wangenbourg prior to
1776 and Romanswiller before then. Spouses
were from Engenthal (SCHAEMEL), Nordheim
(MOSBACH) and Muhlbach (SCHMITT).

Bernard BENO (b:1812) and family left for America
in 1853. They entered in New Orleans, then
settled in St. Louis, MO; St. Joseph, MO;
Council Bluffs, IA; Portland, OR; Fort Boise,
ID; and Cheyenne, WY.
