Would you mind sharing the information you have on the Benolken's and Burke's? I am also a decendent of the Benolkens. I have information dating back many years. It is the more recent generations I am having troubles with.

I have a great great grandmother Anna Benolken born May 1882; married a Frank E. Burke of Illinois on October 19, 1899. Had children Mildred (stayed in Omaha), Myron and Jessie (lived in Wyoming)

Her family was of German descent.

Any information about her or her family would be greatly appreciated. I have no living relatives from this branch of my family (our last contact with them was through my grandfather, Charles Burke Clements, who died in 1984).

I have some information on the Herbes (Herbers) line from Ottenstein, Westfalen. My father was John Herbes, a son of Henry (Heinrich) Herbers, from Ottenstien, Westfalen. Gertrude Benolken married John Herbes in Waukegen, Lake , Illinois, on 15 Nov 1857. I have Hermann Benolken and Gertrude Allshoff for her parents. Am I wrong? She was from Gronau, Westfalen. I would be happy to exchange info with you and then we can see what is what as to accuracy. Most of my info came from the internet websites and not from family as all the family who had first hand info are long since gone. My husband's grandmother - his mother's mother was the daughter (Clara) of Gertrude Benolken. I will get my info out shortly and begin to send it on.

Looking for information on Edna Benolken Anderson and Loretta Benolken Barncart who were sisters to Mattie Benolken Bennett. Mattie d. in 1964 and the other 2 were survivors. They were children of Johann Carl Benolken & Emma McCarthy.

My husband's great Grandmother was a Belolken. She married a Heinrich "John" Herbes - he was from Westfan, Germany and she was an Anna Gertrude Benolken and her parents were an Arnold Von Benolken and an Anna Ehlers. I guess the "Von" got dropped when they came to America. I would appreciate sharing info with you. I don't have much on the Benolkens passed the above family but I do have info on John and Anna G's family.

I am trying to find information on a Peter Benolken/Benolkin who married Joanna Hayes in Minnesota. They moved to Seattle, WA where They had two girls, Helen & Mila. They were divorced when the girls were quite young and we believe that Peter went back to Minnesota. Peter is my husband's grandfather. Does this scenario fit with your Benolkens. Any info would be most appreciated.

The Frank Benolken you inquire about is a direct decendant of mine. My Father was Richard, GF Joseph, GGF Frank Arnold b 1843.. GGGF Hermann, GGGGF Frank Arnold b.177o's.

My husband is a direct descendant of Frank Arnold. The family was in McHenry county, IL and his branch then moved to Minnesota, Sterns county.
