Hi Katie,

My grandmother Rose Dimarco was a first cousin of Vince & Zena's. My Great-grandmother was Sarah Piraro DiMarco. If you have any information on the Piraro's I would love to have it.

If I figured it out correctly we are 3rd cousins - amazing...

JoCarol Inzenga

Kyra, Stephanie Sperry sent me a spreadsheet with a lot of the family information. I will need to look for it, but will be glad to share it with you. I do remember my nana talking about her brother Vince.

Angela, I believe that we may be related. My grandmother's name was Zena Saia (married John Saluzzi). She lived in Frontenac Kansas. She had several sisters and I believe two brothers . Some of the sisters names were Mary (married Tony Benso), Sadie (also married a Benso), and Jennie are the ones that I can recall. I do remember that she told me her mothers name was Congetta Barracato and she was from Sicily. I would love to hear from you.

My Mother's side of the family consist of the following surnames: Benso (changed from Benincasa), Carpino, Saia, Piraro and Barracato. I think we very likely could be related. All of these families settled in south east Kansas. The Benincasa and Carpino's most likely came from Paterno Calabria. The Saia, Piraro and Barracato came from Cefalu' Sicily.
