I have a copy of “Bent’s Fort – A Historical Account of the Adobe Empire That Shaped the Destiny of the American Southwest”, by David Lavender, copyright 1954, which I would like to get back in the hands of descendants or family members. The book has a great deal of Bent genealogy going back to his parents Silas Jr. (1768) and Martha Kerr Bent (1778), to Silas Sr. and back to ancestors Peter Bent and his father John Bent.
