I am doing some research into my aunt's family (she is deceased). I understand her connection as a Bent comes from the New Mexico and Colorado Bents. I have a very old muslin nightgown with a note pinned to it. It reads, "This is Mema's grandmother's nightgown, Ashnah Parrot Thompson died approximately 1885 in Trinidad, Colorado. My Aunt's name was Roberta Johnson Dietz and her mother was Charlotte Bent Johnson. I have some absolutely stunning portraits done professionally in New Mexico of 3 girls which I believe Charlotte Bent to be one of them. Have you come across anything connection wise with this infomation? I am just curious. There are boxes of photos of which I know nothing, but I do know that Charlotte Bent was a detail person who has some handwritten notes and a land grant deed of some sort from the 1800's.
