Dear Robert,
I am sorry I took so long to reply. My mom still has to send me some info on the family
tree, but I can tell you what I know. My great great grandfather was Harrison Bent who was born in Maine, march 21st.1841 and died June 12th, 1891. He had a brother named Daniel who was born in Vermont. George Harrison Bent had 6 kids. My great grandfather was of course one of them and his
name was Levi Bent. He was like next to the
youngest of all the kids. Levi was born December 17th, 1872 and died September 28th, 1947. He was born in Ripton vermont in addison county. He had a brother who was the
oldest named Frederick who was born february 10th, 1869 and died in Williamsfield, Illinois on April 30th,1933. He died of bronchial pneumonia near his son's home in Williamfield,Illinois at the John Murphy farm in Wialliamsfield when he was visiting
his son back here in Williamfield,Illinois.
Frederick had before this visit spent the last 20 years of his life in Montana. Levi,
my great grandfather also had a bother named
Danny who died in Mentone, Indiana. The youngest brother of Levi was named John, he
was born July 2nd, 1874, and died January 5th,1959. My great grandfather Levi also had
a sister named Alice who married a guy with the last name Higgly. Levi also had a sister
named Effied. Another thing I need to mention is that John the youngest of the children of Harrison Bent's had 11 children.
Well this is all that I have for now. My
grandfather's name was Clifford Bent. One of the children of Levi Bent. I will send more info to you later when I recieve it from my
mom , but this is what I wrote down as we talked on the phone to each other. I hope this will give you something to tie to, if not then perhaps when I send more info that may shed some light on things. We had a relative named Eva Hunsaker from Southern Illinois who I believe is my great aunt Alice's daughter do alot of the research too.
I am greatful to her for doing what she did,
but since my grandfather Clifford has died and over the years we have lost touch with
Mrs. Hunsaker. I would be greatful to you or
anyone who could also let me know more about my family tree. Maybe there is some possibility that we are related beings we both are from Illinois, and are realations
are not that far away from each other. Well write me more and let me know.
Sincerely,
Candy Zaehringer p.s I just was proof reading what I wrote, and I ment to say Aunt
Effie not Effied and also I mispelled relations sorry for the typo's but it would be too much work to go back and retype the same stuff. I apologize for the spelling. Sincerely,
Candy Zaehringer p.s I think I also mispelled the word meant. Anyways thank-you for sharing what you have with me so far I hope we can keep in touch, Robert!!!
