Thank-you for what you sent me on the Bent's
Fort Bents. My mother was a Bent. I hope I
can keep in touch with you about my family
history. My Grandfather who is deceased now
had kept the most info on the Bents. He used
to correspond with a relative of somekind who
did this stuff, but now that relative is
probably deceased too. I really want to know
more about my family and background and how
it all relates also to the Indian side. I
could send you any info I get from my mom who
has the history on some papers, and maybe you
could help me out on this. A cousin from Toulon Illinois who is also no longer with us
as he died last year in a factory related injury was doing some family history investi-
gating. We had a relative by the name of George Bent who was from Montana I heard buried in the Toulon, Illinois cemetary. I thought possibly there could be an Indian
connection here. Well please feel free to keep in touch with me. I have been told that
the Bent name is rare, and that we are all
related in some way or another. I hope this
is true!!! Well thank-you again for replying
