I am a descendent of his son, Hampton Benton, who spent a good part of his life in Louisiana, but died in South Carolina after marrying his 3rd wife, Hester Rodgers. His first two wives, Rosanna Sansbury (My ancestor) and Henrietta Lee are both buried in Louisiana
