Louise S. Bentz
Louise S. Bentz, 92, of Northampton, PA, died Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Phoebe Home in Allentown, PA. She was the wife of the late Glenwood Bentz, who died in February 1993. Born in Catasauqua, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willoughby W. and Matilda F. (Snyder) Kibler.Louise was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Northampton, PA, where she served as a former Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was a 1936 graduate of Catasauqua High School. Louise was one of the first crossing guards at 8th and Laubach Streets, Northampton. She was also a former cashier at the Roxy Theatre, Northampton, PA. She was a very active member of the former Northampton Exchangettes. Survivors: She is survived by her one son, Richard K. and wife Linda Bentz of Whitehall, PA; one grandson, Mark Bentz and wife Kim of Northampton, PA; a niece, Rae Marie wife of Frank Unger, Phoenixville, PA. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Wahl. Services: Are scheduled private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA, 18067. Contributions: May be made to the Church Memorial fund c/o the funeral home.
