I have no idea if there is any relation here but there aren't many Berend around. My grandfather was Richard W Berend, and My father is Kenneth Berend. All from Missouri. My grandfathers parents were from Germany. Therefore "full blood German" My Brother is the Last of the Berend name as of right now.

I am a descendant of these Berend's. Cecilia's parents were actually Joseph Berend and Theresa Spreckhals. August and Amelia Kopp were her aunt and uncle. I have almost this entire tree, starting with Philip Berend, when they arrived in Missour. I can email you more if you would like.

Seeking information about the Berend family on the 1900 Archer Co., TX census. Parents included August born 1854 in MO (parents in Ger.) and Amelia K. born 1860 MO (parents in Ger.). There was Cecilia Berend who married Henry Nortman Nov. 22, 1894; Joseph Residorpf connected the ceremony in Windthorst. The Nortman couple was not on the 1900 Archer Co. census which is online.
