This is the info that I have. My grandfather is Glen Berens, born to Gerhart and Florence. Glen married Elisa Sanchez and had 6 children; Cynthia, Darrel, Kurt, Glen, Denise and Giezelle. Cynthia is my mother. I too am in search of my extended family. My mother passed as has my grandfather, with my aunts and uncle reluctant to talk about their father's side of the family. A little more info I have is;
John Berens owned 2/3 share in a threshing rig with Charles Johnson.
Marie Berens (maiden Walvogle) came to America with her mother and stepfather Mike Eaton in 1887. They settled in Todd County. Marie's father was Wentlin Walvogle and mother was Lena Walvogle.

If you have any more info I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
David Factor
david.factor@yahoo.com

I think that I have some letters written to Mary to her cousins in Ponca Nebraska. Peter, Lena, and maybe Nicholas were all brothers to John. Peter had three children Norbert, Helen, and Susie. They never married and never had children. Lena (my great grandmother) married John Kayl and had 12 children. I am not sure about the last sibling. I think that his name was Nicholas (from looking at old tombstones. I would love any information that you have. I know that they migrated here from Germany?? Thanks. Christine Kayl

Greetings

I'm not sure of the connection here but help me fill in some gaps. My Great-Great Grandfather was John Harm Berens who is the son of Harm and Grace Berens. On the 1900 US Census it shows his birth year as 1841 and an immigration year of 1866 from Germany. However on the 1910 census it shows an immigration date of 1859 from Germany. Is this the Harm Berens you are referring to? Do you know what Grace Berens' maiden name is? Do you happen to know Harm's birthdate?

I would appreciate any information you may have.

I'm searching for descendants of three Berens' brothers you emigrated to Amerika together with her mother (named Hermine or Mine) between 1870 and 1875. Hermine was born in Breklenkamp, Germany. One of the three brother was married when he emigrated.

I don't know the names of all brothers. One was named Gerd Berens. He visited Germany in 1912. His address was Dorr, Michigan, R. R. 3 Box 47.

One of the brother had a daughter, Mine, who emigrated to South America.

One brother had a son Henry who was a priest.

The three brother had another brother and a sister. Her name was Ale Vennegerts, nee Berens, born Nov., 11th 1845. I have all this information from a diary of her granddaughter, who died this year. She remembered her granduncle's Gerd visit in Germany. Gerd wanted his nephew Harm and his family to go with him to America but Harm didn't want.
Thanks for any information.

Twelve years ago, my husband and I was given a piece of art work from a friend and the only information that it has on it is as follows:

Copr. Henry Berens 1967

The art is well done and I have enjoyed it all these years. It has brought me and my family much pleasure. I thought that it would be so awesome to give it back to its maker -- if he is still living -- or possibly his family would delight in having his creation as a momentum.

Please email me if you have any information on Copr.
