Surnames: Berg, Hock, Zimmerman, FInke
I am looking for more information about my family from Germany:
Laurentius Berg (1752-1800) and Katharina Haas (b. 1752)
Their son Lorenz (1796-1851) married Maria Eva Hock (1798-1848)
They had 4 children, Margareta (b. 1817), Johann (1819-1876), Gabriel(1822-1875)& Eva Josefa (b. 1825)
Gabriel, my 3rd great grandfather, married Anna Maria Zimmerman (1829-1900), also from Grossostheim in Belleville, Illinois, and both died in Nauvoo, Illinois, in a community of German Catholics. Their daughter Margaret married John Finke (son of German immigrants from Hannover) in Nauvoo and they later moved to St. Louis, Missouri.
Does anyone recognize this family?
