My great-grand mother is listed on that certificate, as well as my great-great grand mother. My great-grandmother's name was Bertha. She died not long after my grandmother, Hilda was born.

It is a good possibility that there may be a connection. My great grandmother Anna Pauline Martha Bergemann was born in Berlin 9/16/1867 and died 12/31/1935 also in Berlin. She married Richard August Wahl 1/7/1888 in Berlin. Her father was Ferdinand Adolf Friedrich Bergemann, born 9/21/1837 in Berlin, and he died 1/25/1879 in Berlin. He was married to Pauline Martha Kase. His parents were Adolph Ferdinand Bergemann, born 4/18/1804 in Berlin and Anna Christine Falckmann. His father was Adolph Bergemann, born 5/13/1761 in Berlin, married to Johanna Wilhelmina Zoellner. His father was Gottfried Ferdinand Bergemann, born 2/13/1723 in Stendal. His father was Friedrich Ferdinand Bergemann, born 12/3/1689 in Neuruppin, who was the son of Christian Friedrich Bergemann, son of Kaspar Friedrich Bergemann, son of Mathias Bergemann, son of Jacob Bergemann, who was the son of Matis Bergemann, documented in Bernau in 1507. My records are more detailed than this outline, but I didn't feel like writing it all out. If you do find a connection at some point to any of the above mentioned names, I will be glad to share my file with you.

He married (1) Ada Orr (sp?)and had three children: Harold Arthur, and Oscar, born 1909 in Kansas City. He migrated to Bristol, VA/TN and married in 1911,(2) Mary P.
Bergemanns in Wisconsin

My husbands family lives in a very small town in Wisconsin. They moved there from North Dakota around 1936. Hubbys' grandpa was Carl Fredrich Bergemann, son of the immigrant Wilhelm, who married Anna Buccue. If this helps, please contact me by e-mail. I believe Wilhelm came from Prussia

Hi Larry--
I am one of Rudolf's great-granddaughters. I am Elvira Bergemann (his daughter's) Colby's granddaughter. I have some great pictures and some family history that I have received from Selma Bergemann Bartz. A couple interesting facts about Rudy--his father was from Brandenburg Germany, he was born in Altomont, Illinois, and he had 4 children--two boys and two girls, however one son died in infancy. Is there anything in particular I can help you find out?

North Dakota Bergemann's

I am Larry Bergemann, Phoenix, AZ. I was searching and saw your notes on North Dakota. My Father was Lawrence A Bergemann and his Father was Roudolph Bergemann. Roudolph was born in the late 1800s, was a twin and homesteaded in N.D. Randsom County and Sargent County, North of Gwinner, ND. I still have Bergemann relation in that area. Lawrence moved to southern Minnesota about 1936 as well - farmers. Ted Bergemann (Minnesota)was a relative as well. The Litchfield, Bartz, Ehn, Stone and Colby family's were a related somehow. The names Carl and Wilhelm mean something to me, Do not know exactly why!! If any of these mean anything to you , I would be pleased to heat from you.
Larry A Bergemann
larryb99@aol.com

I don't have near the info you have going back. I know William Fredrick Bergemann was bon in Brandenberg andhis father's name was Joachmar. He was married twice--once to Charlotte Nuenschuetzen and then to Ernestine Stuemke. None of the names you mentioned, I have. Do any of these sound familiar to you?

Bergeman(n) / Kufner

Is there a Bergeman(n) family, probably in the state of Oregon, who has family ties to Wisconsin? I am looking for a Bergeman / Kufner connection. My grandfather's cousin was a Kufner, who married a Bergeman, and some of the family (Kufner or Bergeman) moved to Oregon many, many years ago. I hope someone can help. Thanx.
