Looking for my fathers mother and/or any relatives. My father was born 2/2/1932 in Manhattan. His mother was Mary Anne or Marion Bergere and she would have been in her late teens, early 20s then. My father, Conrad Bergere was put into Foster care but saw his mother once a week. As per what my father recalls, she was from Fitchfield Mass, originally from Quebec. She was single until the 1940's when she won a court case proving who my fathers biological father was and my fathers name was changed to Robert Coty. Marion/Mary Anne either remarried or has a long term relationship with a Man whose nick name was Whitey. She worked as a waitress at Bickford's for a long time. My father saw her several more times but lost touch in the late 40's, Marion/Mary Anne didn't want Whitey to know he was her son. Obviously she kept tabs because she showed up at my parents wedding (alone) and when they were overseas would visit with my maternal grandmother and foster grandmother. My father passed two years ago and I'm looking for family history and family tree to pass down to my children. Any help would be very much appreciated.
