I am interested in William R. Berholz, landscape gardener from Munich, who came to the United States in 1855. Bergholz designed Le Grand Canon's Overlake estate in Burlington, Vermont, in 1859. From 1860 to 1865, he managed the Columbia, South Carolina, branch of the Pomaria Nurseries. i have reason to believe that he eventually settled in New Rochelle, New York, where he planned and/or developed the Huegenot Park residential subdivision.
