My name is samuel bergland born in curacao in 1959.
my mother is named Christina castillo was born in curacao in 1939
I am curently looking for a relative of mine and i noticed this same person was a part of youre three. i will provide you with some information so you can match it and see if i am talking about the same person. My father is called SAMUEL AUGUSTUS BERGLAND and was born in sint eustatius (caribean) on the 10th of march 1914 (AND LIVED AT CURACAO most of his life).HIS FATHER ABRAHAM BERGLAND WAS MARRIED TO ANN CATHARINE GROVEL whom also lived in sint eustatius , i have a uncle called james Henry bergland

My Great great Grand fathers name was Daniel Stensen Burgland and he was born in Fyresdal in Telemark in 1840. He was an artist and a fireman in Kristansand. He manned a "branntårn" (fire tower) on the top of Baneheia (a hill in Kristiansand). He had a long, white beard.

I am looking for info on my great grandparents. They were born in 1870 in Minn. Their children were Oscar (1896),Laura - my grandmother (1898) Elmer (1899), Earnest (1903), Loyd S (1908), Raymonds S (1910). Any information regarding them or children would be greatly appreciated. My g/grandmother was an Aspengren and her parents were from Sweden and my g/grandfather's parents were from Norway.

I am responding publicly to the email you sent regarding the burial location of Olav Torjussen Bergland.

I do not have him listed in any of the cemeteries I have transcribed or have access to.

In Flom's "A History of Norwegian Immigration to the United States" you will find Reverend J. W. C. Dietrichson's "Kirkeregister" or membership list of the combined East Koshkonong, West Koshkonong & Liberty Prairie Congregations. Olav lived in Dunn township at that time. East Koshkonong and Liberty Prairie were too far to travel to church so he was no doubt a member of West Koshkonong. Of the 3 churches, he is most likely buried at West Koshkonong. Unfortunately, the death records for these congregations for the years 1852-1892 were lost in a fire. When I recorded West Koshkonong cemetery I did not find anyone that would match his birth and death years but it is very possible that his tombstone has crumbled and no longer exists...or perhaps the family did not have the money for one. I also have an old West Koshkonong cemetery transcription list someone did back in the 1930's and he is not listed there either.

For your records, his information in Flom's book is found on page 316, listed as "Ole Torgersen Bergland, immigrated from Moe in 1843".

I know that the Marie that im looking for was born in 1906, in the West Indies. She was married to James Bergland who was believed to be born in India. Does any of this sound familiar? My great great grandfather was Ole Olavson Bergland married to Mathilde Abrahamsdatter Christensen. I am descended from their oldest daughter Charlotte. My great grandfather was the son of Kristen Olavson Qvallen Bergland and was married to Elsie Olavsdatter Bergland. Are these also your ancestors? I am wondering if this name is associated with the name of Berglen? My Great Grandmother was a Bergland or Berglen (spelling has changed over the years). Her name was Mary Katherine and supposedly came from Stokholm (sorry about spelling). Can you help me.
