Lost relatives

Looking for relatives surnamed Berl that may be related. My Fathers name was changed by a quirk to Berler when he arrived in this country early 1900s from Berlin. He was born in Chernivitsi which was Roumania at that time to the best of my knowledge. His mother who he brought over shortly after was Lottie Berl, living in my youth and he was cousin to Adolph Berl Physician in Boston.

Looking for My Lost Relatives, Can you assist me.

My name is Howard Lawrence Berl, I live now in AZ. My father was Leo Ber (deceased of Ridgefield Park, NJ.) I am trying to find out if Esther &amp; Joe Solomon formerly of New York are still alive. The last time I was in contact with them was at my dad's funeral in January of 1990. My paternal grandfather was Jacob Berl originally from Berlin, Germany he then went with family to New York City. He was originally one of 14 Children, two mothers. I am trying to find out if any of his siblings are still alive or if not if any of the ancestors are alive today. Please let me know. My parents were divorced when I was very young and I grew up in Scranton, PA. so I did not know very many of my relatives on my fathers side. Please assist me in my search if you can. I would like to find out as much of my geneology as possible. I do realize that the holocaust/WWII does put severe limitations on this information. But still worth a shot!!<br>I am a very persistent individual, I do know that there is another Howard L. Berl who is my second cousin, he used to reside in Manhatten, NY. His father and my grandfather I believe were brothers, my dad's name was Leo Berl. Please contact me and let me know if Esther Or Joe Solomon are still alive. Another name that is possible is Gershon, this can be short for Joe.
