Seeking Information On A Morris Berman who may have lived on Canal Street about 1905-1907.

Hello All
I have been researching my Mendelson ancestry for 6 years now. According to a 1907 passenger manifest on a Louis/Leibel Mendelson it states he was going to a cousin named Morris Berman. The address on the manifest is hard to make out, but it looks like canal street. Any one have a Morris Berman in their lineage that most likely was born in russia and maybe from a town called Mogilev. I am curious to find out the parentage of this Morris Berman and if he ties in with either the Mendelson line or the Katz line.
