I am researching my great great grandmother Katharine Elisabeth Bernaz (born 1792) ancestors. She was born in Schifferstadt but her ancestors came from Taninges, Savoyen, France. Does anyone know of any Bernaz in France?

I don't have any other information about her ancestry. This is what I have so far. Born 1676 and lived in Basking Ridge, Somerset, New Jersey. Died 2 Apr 1760 in Basking Ridge, Somerset, New Jersey and is buried in the Presbyterian Church Cemetrey in Basking Ridge. I wonder if she is of German descent.
Eva

Bern or Burn/McCollum

Have a question. Mary Bern married John McCollum 19 Sep 1745 in Philadelphia, Pa. Their first son, John, was born 1690 . There are too many years from John II's birth to his parents marriage. Where did this information come from? Is John II"s birth year wrong? or the marriage date? Or does he belong to this marriage.
Thanks
Eva Hahn
