I am looking for information on Rocco Bernardi, who was born in Tuscany in approximately 1854.

He was a Plaster Figure Maker, and the son of FELICE Bernardi.

Rocco also had a brother called BERNARDO Bernardi.

Both brothers emigrated to the Uk in the 1870's.

In 1876, Rocco married a MARY CATHERINE MAZZEI (1860-1928) in Cardiff, Wales.

Mary was the daughter of an Italian named Ferdinando MAZZEI. They emigrated to Boston, MA, USA in 1891.

There were 2 sons born to Rocco and Mary in Cardiff, and a daughter born in Boston, MA:

1. (FREDERICK) Rocco Bernardi (1878-1923?).
He was known only as Rocco Bernardi, and was born in Cardiff in 1878.

After the family emigrated to Boston, MA in 1891, (Frederick) Rocco married a Portugese woman named Mary Tripp in 1900.

They had a daughter named Marion (born Boston 1901), but Rocco walked out on his wife and daughter. The family never saw him again. I think that I have found a death entry for him in California in the 1920's.

2. FELICE PIETRO PAUL Bernardi (1880-1934).

Felice was born in Cardiff in 1880.

He eventually became a Carnival show owner, and ran the Bernardi GREATER SHOWS in the 1920's in america.

He married twice (Mary Trueman / and Dorothy Evelyn ?surname unknown), and died in Florida in 1934.

3. BEATRICE MARIE Bernardi (1896-1969).

She was born in Boston in 1896, and married an Albert Denis Duplain in 1916.

They had 2 daughters.
