Bernardi in the upstate New York area

I'm interested in the origins of my line of the Bernardis and possible cousins in the upstate New York area. My grandfather, Antonio Bernardi (1891-1942) immigrated to the US in 1920 from Bergamo in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy bordering Switzerland and eventually settled in New Hampshire. His father, Giovanni Bernardi was also born in Bergamo circa 1850. My father believed the family originally came from Parma. My grandfather had eight sisters. One married and emigrated to Switzerland; another France. However, one possibly two emigrated to New York.
We are also related through other sisters to the Azzola and Bonazzi families. There are also stories of a brother to Giovanni (Lorenzo?) who was an adventurer who disappeared from the family history. Any info would be appreciated.
