Re: descendants of Theodore Bernards and Catharine Degroot

Theodore Bernards and Catherine Degroot had a son, Edward Bernards born 21 Mar 1900. Edward married Hilda Crop (Kropp) born 11 Mar 1906. Edward and Hilda had a daughter Ellen born 15 Jul 1928. Ellen married Henry Bishop (Bischoff) and they had a daughter Mary Katherine. There were other children, but without my notes I don't have the information in front of me. Kathy (Mary Katherine) had a son Alex who is my son-in-law. He has two children Bryce and Mercedes. My email is adamsjjt@hotmail.com if you would like to get more information. I would also like to know what information you have about Theodore and Catherine.

I was wondering if any Bernards or anyone might have info. on Hubert John Bernards and his wife Agnes? Hubert was born in Springfield Township, Dane County, WI. He then worked his way out to California with Agnes, we believe they married in Colorado and had their son Joseph in Colorado.
I know that Hubert, Agnes, and Joseph are now dead but did Joseph marry? and have a family? Huberts father's name was Hubert Bernards and his mother's name was Agnes Kosman.
LC

Dorotique,
I am interested in the surname of one of the descendents of the Bernards; CAMERLINGO. This is such a rare name in Italy. It was my great-grandmothers. Do you know anything about the origins of this branch of the family? My ancestors came from the Naples, Italy area in a mountain village called Mirabella Eclano (AV). They were a very notable family in the late 1860's. I would love to find out any history that they may have. Could you forward this to them?
I wish you the best of luck with your search for the Bernard family!
Sincerely,
Fran Vaudreuil

Bernards from the Netherlands

I don't know a Henry but it's sure the same family.
Johannes or callingname Jan(his name was in USA John)went in 1867 with 10 children to the USA:
Johanna Bernards-Goemans 1839-1920,
Maria Anna Bernards-Peters 1841-1907, Walthera Bernards-van der Velden 1843-1874, Petronella Bernards-Jaspers 1844-1908,
Maria Bernards-van Dijk 1846-1922,
Hubertus(xCopp) 1849-1923,
Theodorus Mattheus(xde Groot) 1851-1936,
Johannes(xHermens) 1854-1928,
Waltherus(xJoosten)1858-1908

Because John's father's name was Waltherus=Walter I'm sure Henry belongs to this family.
Perhaps was Henry his grandchild ?
Or a child from John's 7 siblings ?

Hi Tara! I have info on your Bernards family if you still need it. My mother was Alberta Vandehey Emery and my uncle is Norbert Vandehey...they grew up very close to your grandfather and his siblings after their (my mom and uncles) mother died. In fact I saw your Gr grandmother Maggie Bernards many times. If you still need info, please email me....candythomas@home.com I am in Milwaukie
