I am trying to locate infor abt my gr-gr grandfather, Francis Marion Berrie. He is listed as being born in Virginia on Nov 30 1835, but unble to locate anything. He served with the Iowa 6th Infantry Co. K from July 12 1861 till July 16, 1864. he married Susan (Upton) Newkirk on October 5, 1865 in Henry Co., Iowa. He lived in WI, IA, NE and finally OK, dying February 15, 1913 and buried in the South Burns Cemetery in Dill City, Washita, OK. They had five boys and four girls. Any information on who his parents are would be greatly appreciated.
