My great grandmother was Kate Berryman Kriewitz, William Larkin Berryman was her father. I would love to see the photo from Oklahoma, as that is where Kate lived.

In the book, "Old Times Not Forgotten, History of Drew County, Ark" it states "having been badly cut on the chest by a Mr. Grubbs, Lark killed the man. Being injured and in order to get away, Lark was taken to Texas by his brother James. His wife and family joined him there.

All of my Kriewitz line originates in Llano, Texas. Would appreciate hearing from you.

Alpha Rogers Berryman

My great grand mothers name is Alpha Rogers(Berryman)born 10-9-1912 died on 1-25-1993. And My Great Grandfathers name is William Berryman.born on feb. 14-1906 and died on 9-7-1978.. Tryin to find out where i came from... this is on my grandmothers side.. her name is Eula Marie Brown....

Also trying to find the same on my grandpa's Side... his name is Walter Brown... born sept 18 1923 he died 7-15-1995...

My people are Australia Berryman married to James Alfred Rogers.
I have a lost link at James Alfred Rogers & his father was John Oliver Rogers. James was born in 1873.

Was your Clara Belle Rogers related to James Alfred Rogers?
I wonder because my James Alfred Rogers born March 6, 1873.
We are not sure, but have his parents as John Oliver Rogers and Clara Wells Rogers.
My James Alfred Rogers married Australia Berryman.
I see the Berryman and Rogers names here connected and then it is also said that my James was born in Arkansas. He did marry in Texas.
Australia’s Berryman parents were claimers in the Oklahoma land Rush I’ve heard.
Do you see a connection?

I am searching for any information on Jane Marshall Berryman born in VA about 1830. Some say she is the daughter of William T. Berryman and Frances Taylor. I cannot find any concrete information on her birth or her parents. She comes up when I search her name in OneWorldTree. Those records show she married John B. White on May 25, 1852. She may very well be my great great grandmother. I am stumped. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find the parents or siblings of my great grand mother, Adeline Gorman, Maiden name Berryman. she was born in 1864 or 65. she gives New York as her birthplace on census. I have not been able to find any birth cert. I have here living in Chicago Il , married to James J Gorman, in 1900. she was widowed young and she raised her family while working as a seamstress from home. She did have step relatives living with her in the 1930's with the last name Nevil. any help locating information on the new york Berrymans would be much appreciated. thanks cindy patterson. my tree is public viewing, under patterson family tree.

Edward Berryman is my GrGrGrGrandfather. He was born around 1787. He came over from Ireland. He was married to Susannah (May, Moir). He is in 1820 Lack Twp. Juniata County, PA census. Don't know if this has any connection to you.

I know that one of Edward Berryman's daughters married a Watts. He was a gunsmith, but I think they lived in Juniata County, PA.

I figure that seeing it took me 9 years (incl a stint of living in both Perth and the NT!) to reply to your original posting, I'm probably not in a strong position to worry about reply delays!

I'm not too sure on too much Mocken history, however Mum & Dad (Lesley & John) have some information on that side of the family, which I'm sure they'd be pleased to share.

We travelled to Perth in late 1960 to visit with members of Dad's family that had moved to Perth/WA in the early 1900's, and in part for the 5 generations to get together. As far as I'm aware Dad's Aunty Molly (Davina Florence - and still going at 88) was the only NZ grandchild (having travelled to Perth in the 1950's), to actually meet her Gran. GG Gran passed away when I was about 8 (surviving all bar one of her children), and by then there were at least 4 G grandchildren.

I do know that when they bought a property in Huntly (NZ), it had to be in GG Gran's name as "foreigners" weren't allowed to own property in NZ (GG Grandfather was Austro-Italian). The house is still standing!

I'm not sure how we can contact each other privately through this forum (I've joined as a "free" service) to exchange contact details for further information - it might also require you to set up an account so we can email within it?

I hadn't really checked the site in the past few years but have slowly been getting back into it just recently.
I only just remember the article I was talking about, I'm sure I have a copy of it somewhere in Perth, am currently living in the NT.

Still finding it hard to find info on the Mockens whilst they were living in the NZ. Have you come across any information on them?

Hello - Thanks I just saw your response. The other lead I have on my Berrymans is that Stephen Berryman was in Onslow County, NC near the coast in the early 1800's, died in 1823. Also a Joseph Berryman lived there in the late 1700's. My William Rufus Berryman (1813-1855) of Moore County, NC was probably related to a Stephen, William and/or John who lived in Moore County around 1800. Any info you have on these people would be much appreciated.

Just saw your note on Berrymans. From what I know there were 2 brothers that came from England \. Jelsons and Vowels went to Maryland. My Benjamin settled in Virginia off of the Potomac River and at White Hall which the house is still there. My side moved on up to the mountains, Front Royal and Linden. Most moved south to NC and Kentucky. Hope this helps Evelyn

Just ran across your inquary/// The Berrymans originally came over from England. Settled in Westmorlamd County Virginia. They lived in White Hall which is still there. They had a very large family. The ones you were asking about moved on up to Facquir County which is in the blue Ridge Mountains. Front Royal and Linden all in Virginia. This is the part of the family I come from. There were many Williams and Jelsons. My grandfather was a william. Hope this helps you some. The other branches of the family moved on to NC and Kentucky. Good Luck Evelyn

My gggrandfather was James Alfred Rogers married to Australia Berryman. It is said that his parents were Clara Wells and john Oliver Rogers.
Australia's mother Sallie was married to Milton Monroe Berryman.
Do you see familiar names here that you can connect or shed information on??? Milton and daughter Australia both had marraiges in Texas;(Cherokee County).

Hello - I am working on the Berryman family of Lee & Moore County, NC. I have some deeds that place the Berrimans/Berrymans/Bennermans/etc. in that area in the 1770-80's. I have William Berryman in the 1790, 1800 & 1810 US Census, Moore County, NC. Then Stephen Berryman in 1830 Census. I have heard it said by older cousins that our Berrymans came from the western part of VA that became West Virginia. Any info that could help me would be much appreciated.
