Maria Mathilde Bert was my great-grandmother. I think she was born in Germany or what was called Prussia around the mid 1800's. She married Otto Ulrich Karl von Zech and emmigrated to the USA around 1880. I have family information regarding the von Zech side, but not the Bert side.
