Classification: Query
My grandfather Guy Misson, when in New York, contacted his cousins, Milnor O. Roberts, dean at Washington University, and another called Lovett.I found people looking for information about the Lovett.

Here is the one who must be connected to my family and I guess yours:

GEORGE SYDNEY LOVETT; CAROLINE de BEELEN:MI>Washington DC>Cobourg, ONT
Robert Mikel
I am trying to find out more about a branch of the Lovett family who summered in Cobourg Ont at the turn of the century.

Father was George SYDNEY Lovett, first wife was Caroline de Beelen. Their children were Louise D. Lovett, never married; Charlotte Lovett, never married and a son H W? Lovett who had four children Mrs. Arthur D. Whitcomb of Brookline, Mass., Miss Eleanor Lovett of Brookline, Mass., Louis de Beelen of Princeton, NJ., and Norman F. Lovett of NYC.

Charlotte Lovett died in Cobourg in 1937 and is buried there. She was born in 182 at Grand Rapids Mich. but they moved back to Washington DC where her family had originated. In her obituary it stated that at her grandparents(paternal or maternal?) estate "Kelo Rama" Robert Fulton carried on experiments with the first steam engine on this continent.

Louise must have been my grandfather 's cousins who were in contact with him since my grandfather was in NY after 1937.
