Bertie Family Tree

Evelyn Radford (nee Bertie)  (View posts) Posted: 13 Feb 2001 1:42AM GMT
Dear Psul
What an unusual name. Thank you for your e-mail, yes to most of it
I am in communication with a John Bertie in Wellington, New Zealan
and my sister also lives in New Zealan. I think that you
may be connected to John, who says that his relative came from
America and were Sailors. His great grandfather was captain of
a tea clipper and had a story to tell.

I think that we have a connection and I am still working on it
I will need time to relate to this.

My e-mail address is:

rad31@worces.u-net.com and if you allow me to
have yours we can keep in direct contact.

Thank you for your response and I hope that this
is successful.

I have the family tree back to 1700 in Scotland
but there is an English noble line that goes back to
945 AD.

There is a large branch of the family in America
based mainly in New Jersery but have branched out
(forgive the pun) to furthe fields.

There is also a Bertie County in North Carolina.

This was named after two brother Henry and James.

Hopefully I will be in contact with you soon

All the best

Evelyn Bertie (now Radford)
