I'm trying to learn more about Elizabeth Bertine who married James McCarter August 14, 1800 at the First and Second Presbyterian Church in NYC.

It appears that either Elizabeth or James had a child by a previous marriage as there was girl under 10 listed in their household in the 1800 census. James was at least 35 when they were married, and Elizabeth between 26 and 45 so she would have been born sometime prior to 1774.
