I'm fairly certain our Bertines are connected. My William, a Robert, Samual, and Paschal had a shoestore in Brooklyn in the 1850's. William's middle name was Boice, and I've found a Peter Bertine married to an Eliza Boice at the proper time to be William's parents. Peter and Eliza lived in Eastchester, Westchester County. Others of Peter's family lived in New Rochelle. Do you have any further information that if added to mine would complete a corner of the puzzle?
