Anyone have access to the intestate estate file for John Bertolet who died in 1821? I'd like to know if his children are named in the estate file. I believe he may have had a daughter, Elizabeth, born about 1795, who married Isaac Adam in 1812.
BERTOLET / ADAM family - early 1800s - Berks Co., PA

I am researching my ADAM family line.

Isaac ADAM, married Elizabeth Baertli, both of Cumru, on 16 Aug 1812 - according to the First Reformed Church of Reading. According to the "Reading Adler" newspaper's 8 Sep 1812 ed., Isaac married Maria Bertolte, 3 weeks ago.

I am trying to find Isaac's wife's correct name & who her parents were. I think her surname might have been either Bertolet or Bartlett, but have not been able to find any evidence that she was a member of either family.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Lena Bertolet Warner, b.1891, dau of Charles/Caroline Bertolet, of Columbiana Co., OH

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Lena Bertolette”, and another of “Lena Bertolette Warner and Frank Warner” which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo of Lena alone was taken in “Columbiana, O” in about 1900 and she looks to be 8-10 years old. Photo of Frank and Lena Warner does not identify where it was taken, however the family lived in Columbiana Co., OH, so it was probably taken close to there.

I found Lena Ferne Bertolette, age 8, in the 1900 census for Washingtonville (Columbiana Co.) OH, living with her parents Charles E. and Caroline (King) Bertolette, and nine siblings. Ancestry’s OneWorldTree shows Lena F. Bertolet, born 11 Jun 1891 in Washingtonville, OH, married on 2 Oct 1912 to Frank Warner, whose birthdate was 25 Feb 1886.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Lena Bertolet Warner or Frank Warner.

The Bertolet Family Genealogical History is available from Barnes & Noble. I ordered it online and it took about 6 days to get it. It starts in 1726 and goes through 1914. The correct title is "A Genealogical History of the Bertolet Family, the Descendants of Jean Bertolet", compiled by Daniel H. Bertolet, Pottstown, PA. The book is also available through the Pottstown Public Library and probably at other local libraries as well. For example, Reading and Norristown Public Libraries.

I've really enjoyed reading through the book and I hope it will prove helpful to your research.

Thank you for the reply and the information on the Bertolet family. I have had a terrible time finding any information on them. Where would I find the reference: The Genealogy History of the Bertolet Family?
Bruce Harrison
brucesueh1@juno.com

Elizabeth Reiff was the first of the three wives of Rev. Henry H. Bertolet of Oley Valley, Berks Co., PA. She was born June 19, 1799. They had six children. This information comes from "A Genealogical History of the Bertolet Family, The Descendants of Jean Bertolet" compiled by Daniel H. Bertolet of Pottstown, PA, 1914.
