John,
It seems that my grandfather was supposedly
born in Houghton co. Mich. But there is no record of him there.
I suspect that he might have been born in Canada and slipped across the border.
His father Richard may have been born in Penzance Cornwall, U. K. Tom may have been born there as well?
My uncle Richard says he thought that the name was welsh. perhaps they were miners, copper,
tin, coal? It's storied that Tom worked at Anaconda copper mine in Montana in it's early years. the 1890's?
I've been working on my Stevenson family line as time permits
Any hints or suggestions is welcomed!
Thanks Tom
