Thanks for your message. Berton is my mothers maiden name.
Richard Berton was Thomas Berton's father, my grandfather.
We know very little about him. Had several siblings, don't have any names.
Apparently there was a falling out in in family and my grandfather (Tom)
took off. As far as I know he never revealed
the why's, how's, where's etc.
