I am looking for any information on John B. Bettis, born about 1816 or 1818 in South Carolina. He is listed in Tipton Co. Tn in the 1860 cencus. A son Bedford Forest ( my grandfather) was born there in 1864. He is listed in the 1880 cencus as being in Sharp Co. Ark. He is known to have had two other sons, Dan who went to Oklahoma, and Tom who lived in Sharp Co. Ark. Any information on marriages, divorces, etc. greatly appreciated.
