My Great-great grandfather was Elisha Lott Bettis her was born in South Carolina Jul 11 1800 and died Jan 11 1852. His wife was MAry Hearin, daughter of Robert Hearin Sr. and Nancy Mayfield Hearin. Elisha Lott was out of the second marriage of my great great great grandfather Stephen Bettis Sr. He married Mary Lott, daughter of Mark Lott, in 1798. Mary Lott was born about 1775 in Old Ninety-six Distrist, North Carolina. MAry died on Aug 27 1823 in Monroe County, Alabama. They had 3 children Elijaj Julius Bettis, Elisha Lott Bettis and Sarah Bettis who died at 2years of age. I may have more on the Lott family, but I would have to go back into my records to determine this...which I will if you are interested.My son is coming for several days and after that I will have more time.
