Henry Betz, 1799; father, Christian Betz b. 1777 in PA; father, Friedrich b. 1742 in Alsace; father, Johan Georg II b. 1688. Johan Georg II, with his first wife, had Ludwig and Louisa. Much as been written about Ludwig and his son, Johan Urban, crossing in 1764 on the Sarah. Johan Georg II, second wife, had Friedrich and Adam prior to immigrating; and, then had more children after arriving in Pennsylvania. Friedrich and his wife were married in 1776 and their first child was Christian. There ARE many Christians and multiples even in Columbiana Co, Ohio. This Christian's wife was Margaret. According to church records, Johan Georg II is buried at Muddy Creek (Modenkrik) Cemetery not far from Lancaster. Johan Georg I, born in 1666 (or 1668), is buried in York, PA. Christian and Margaret and their son Henry and his wife, Catherine Stull are buried in Moultrie Cemetery, West Township, Columbiana County, Ohio.
