Thanks for your response. The information I have is that Karl Betz was born on May 29, 1920 so he was 24 years old when his plane crashed on January 1, 1945. I don't know where he was born but I know the make, model and serial number of the plane he was flying and his squadron!

I'd be very interested to know if karl is your relation. Hope that this helps!
