Hello Stephen,
i'm sorry, i can not help you with any relatives. But i'm very interested in what you know of his death.
The reason of this is that i know they exact spot of the crashsite. I already found some pieces of his ME109-G10.
In the book "bodenplatte" is detailed description of how he was shot down.
