My great grandfather was William Betz,who was born on May 22,1849: I have the birth certificate, but I can't read some of the German lettering. He married Mary Elizabeth Evans, who was a widow with several children. They had two children: Agnes Susan
Betz in 1888 and Samuel Clarence Betz in 1890 . William and his wife are both buried in the Tremont Cemetery in Schuylkill County.
