Thank you for responding to my query on the Bever (Thiry)family line. My great grandparents were Nicholas and Helena Thiry, Nick would have been Margaretta's brother. My mother, Eleanor Thiry grew up in Pine City but left after the war but I have been back many times and know where the old Bever farm was near the Thiry farm.

My original data on the Bever line was sent to me by a Thiry cousin several years ago and it was only partially complete. I have pretty good data on the Bever daughters that married into the Tacheny and Resch family lines but not on some of the other ones. Also, I may have too many original children which I show as 15 but that may be incorrect. I know that some died in in infancy but I may have some duplicates or incorrect names.

I thought from the letters in your user name here that you are the daughter of Edward and Ameilia Bever which is great because I have only some information on you and your 2 brothers and would love to fill in the holes there.

I am not related but have two volumes of Pennsylvania German Pioneers. Vol. I, pp 301, 303
List Ship Lydia, arrived ay Phila Co, PA on Sept. 29, 1741.

Four are listed arriving Sept. 29, 1741 with one Master:
Hans Jacob Beaver, 1741, early census on Anc.com
Dieble Beaver Sr., 1741 "
Dieble Beaver Jr. 1741, "
Han. George Beaver, 1741, "
Of course the Christian name of Dieble could have been misspelled. They were hard to understand when they arrived.

Same Ship Lydia, arrived same date but a different Master. named? Read on:
Peter Beaver. no age given.
Since they all were living in Phila PA as above census state and all arrived on same ship and day, must be a clerical error.

G.T. Bever is just in from Sun Set Mountain, bringing in some fine samples of alum and other specimens of ore, all of which he got near Flagstaff.

Haven't done a lot on this family, because it is a little off my tree. George and Mary are also in the 1860 census for Keene, Coshocton county, Indiana. Parents names came from public family trees, so I havent verified the information yet. Will try on the USGenweb Indiana pages. The family tree I uysed was Bever/Beaver. It, and two others, Anderson and Stewart, showed father Jacob Beaver, 1802-1880, and mother Delia Cain, 1806-1830. If she died in 1830, it was probably in child birth of George. Hope this helps.

Can you tell me where you got the names of his parents? I have been at a total loss as to where to search in OHIO. I know he went back and forth, and he was married before Mary to a Rachael. I have not found their marriage record yet, but they are in the census together.

Ira Parker 1 Mar 1835 Delaware, Indiana - 31 May, 1917 Page county, Iowa. Buried in Kings Cemetery St Charles, IA

Ira and Mary Freel Bever married 3 Sep 1889 in Madison county, Iowa. They had nine children that I could document. Son William Edward Parker,my great grandfather married Frances Adeline Ogburn.

Ira was a civil war veteran, enlisting five months after the birth of William and serving until the end.

Enlisted 22 Aug 1862 Private in Iowa Infantry, Company F, 39th Regiment
Mustered out 5 Jun 1865 At Washington DC
The Thirty-ninth was in the division with Corse in Sherman´s march to Savannah and participated in that wonderful campaign to the end. It was in the grand review at Washington at the close of the war and was mustered out of the service in that city on the 5th of June, 1865.

Found George with Mary in 1870 census living in Union, Harrison county, Missouri. After George died in 1888, she married my 2nd great grandfather, Ira Parker, Sep 3, 1889 in Madison county, Iowa

my name is Ingo Bewer.
My grandparens came from Ostpreussen between worldwar I. and II. to Western - Germany, from the area Tilsit/Ragnit! My grandfather Emil Max Bewer came from the countyside (Papuschienen = Buschdorf), abaout 10 km away from the Kreis-border to the Elchniederung! The name Bewer has maybe his roots in the lower-german word for beaver and possible means the beaverhunter!

Thanks for responding to my board posting. George is my gg grandfather. I come thru his dau Mary Arazona who married Jasper Leverich. They had Clarence Ralph Leverich (my grandfather), who married Zelphia Ross, they had my father Donald Leverich who married my mother Wanda Clancy.

How does your husband come thru? I have tried following Mary's siblings, but have not gotten very far.

I would LOVE to have copies of letters. That would be so great. I know nothing about this line of my family. My grandfather did not think anyone needed to know anything about his family. The only info I have on his parents is thru my grandmother Zelphia when she went to meet them after they were married.

I guess we are both still looking for more information on George Turner Bever. He is my husband's great grandfather. He wrote letters to a newspaper man while taking people across the west. They are GREAT reading. I do not have the originals but have some copies. I am not at home (currently in Belgium) but could send you a copy if you wish. It might not be until August.

Would anyone have a George Turner Bever in their lines?

Here is what I am able to find:

1880 US census, Rosita, Custer Co, Colorado, age 58, b @1822 in OH, parents birthplaces OH and DE, Carpenter, white, married to Mary E Freel. She is 37 in this census along with 4 children
Io Gemine (later called James) age 9
Zone (Mary Arazona (Zona) age 7--my line mar Jasper Leverich
Minneola age 6
All children b Iowa.

In 1885 Iowa State Census, Pleasantville, Marion Co, Pleasant Grove Twp.

Mary E Bever listed as widow age 42
children:
Jimmy age 14
Mary Z age 12
Mineola age 11
Roy D age 3 --b abe 1882

George is gone, cannot find him before 1880 or after. He is old enough to have had a family before this, and I do find several with children named George T Bever, but do not know any connections.

Any leads would be appreciated.

As my sister has stated, our Grandfather was Lawerence Dwain Bever (1933-1994), Any information you could provide about Ora Delacy Bever would be appreciated. Through research I have his parents as Alonzo Robert Bever (1863-1901) and Julia A. McCoy (1867-1895) , Alonzo parents as Absolem Bever and Susanna Bever, I don't know her maiden name. Is this info correct. I would love any information you would like to share.

The 1850 census data includes the following: Solomon Beaver [age 32] and Delilah [age 32], both born in Virginia, living in Perry Twp., Monroe County, OH. Kids listed are: Abraham [age 11], Missouri [age 10], Mississippi [age 8], Mancy [age 5], Malissa [age 4], Elizabeth [age 1]. Those children MAY be by a first wife, "Eliza". Only Elizabeth was born in OH. The LDS geneology, listing Solomon as "Bever" shows additional kids: Martin [b. 1853 in OH], Markus [b. 1857 in OH], Semandy [b. 1859 in OH], and Henry [b. 1851 in OH]. Martin would be my great grandfather. s.
