Warren John Bevins Jr., 69, Indian Mound, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, in Dover.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Hendersonville Funeral Home, Hendersonville, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bevins served in and retired from the United States Army where he fought in both the Korean and Vietnam wars, earning a Bronze Star medal, a Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, and a National Defense Service medal, among many others. He was a member of the VFW at Fort Campbell and also owned and operated Lakeland Bait and Tackle in Indian Mound for over 15 years.

Mr. Bevins is survived by two daughters, Robin A. Bevins-Disotell and Nora S. Bevins; one grandchild, Samantha J. Disotell; a stepdaughter, Burma Joe "B.J." (Larry) Jackson; two stepgrandchildren, Lacy Jo Jackson and Colton Benefield; two brothers, Robert and Alfred Bevins; six sisters, Theresa Vezina, Pauline Bisson, Shirley Dufresne, Dorothy Carbonneau, Eva Crawford, and Rita Gustafson; and one stepson, Joseph Benefield Jr.
