William R. "Bill" Bewley Devoted uncle and teacher William R. "Bill" Bewley, 38, of Edinboro, died Sun., Jan. 4, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born Jan. 22, 1970 in Erie son of Graeme E. Bewley of Edinboro and June R. Fetterolf Madurski of Edinboro. A 1988 graduate of General McLane High School, he earned his bachelors degree in technology education from California University of PA in 1992. He taught school for the Wattsburg Area School District and was an officer in the Wattsburg Education Assoc. He enjoyed computers and spoiling his nieces and nephews. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Greg Madurski of Edinboro; three sisters, Christine Yurky and husband Michael of Homer City, Pa., Kimberly Knapp of North East and Shannon McAdoo and husband Jerry of Erie; seven nieces and nephews, Matthew, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Patrick Yurky, Marcus and Amanda Knapp and Catherine McAdoo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St.
A memorial service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 254 E. 10th St., Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Coleman of Luther Memorial Church officiating. Private inurnment will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Spartansburg, PA. Memorials may be made to Luther Memorial Learning Center, 220 W. 11th St., Erie, PA
