Hi, my maiden name is Beyette. I have a sister who has a huge family tree of Beyettes that came to Michigan from Canada. Her email addy is cbtree@yahoo.com. She may be able to give you some history or ideas where she's obtained her info. My Fathers name was Walter and bioligical grandfather was Joseph. But some of my family some how spells their name as Beyett, maybe that will help. My sister has the story behind the misspelling or how it took place. Good luck!

There was a Beyett Funeral Home in business in Caro, MI back in 1942 and 1944 but they went out of business and nobody knows what happened to the family or to their funeral records.

I am curious because they may have been in charge of my sister's funeral. Her name would have been Baby Girl Schmidt and she would have died in Caro, MI between 1942 and 1944. The other funeral home says that they never had a funeral for her.
If you are related to the Beyette funeral home family, I would like to hear from you. Thank you!

UPDATE on Beyettes in Texas

I posted an earlier message about my grandfather. I have found that his name is not Frank but John Luis Beyette. He was born in 1883 and later married Lulu Cook. He may have moved to El Paso and died there. He had 8 children in Laredo, Texas two of which are still alive...Mary Virginia Beyette Puig and Ana Maria Beyette Acevedo. Any information about John Luis Beyette will be much appreciated.

I got my answer---Sophia Beyette was daughter of Joseph Billet (Beyette) and Emilie Chamaillard. Her known siblings were Cora, Francis Edward, W. Henry, Julie, Elmire, Adelaide, John, Mary Joanna,& Mary Alice.
She married James Edward Bala (for some reason most all of his siblings and his children and decendants used BAILEY, but he is buried under BALA).
Just posting this in case it is of use to someone.

I am looking for my grandfather who's name
is Luis F. (maybe Frank or Francisco) Beyette.
He lived in Laredo, Texas and had three children:
Ana Maria, Eduardo and Francisco. He also had
other children from another wife. One of those
children (female) married into the Puig family
(maybe Joseph Puig). My grandfather might have
moved to El Paso and have died there. I do know
that he was born in 1882, he worked for Union
Fruit Co. in Laredo and owned a Bar Restaurant
in Mexico. Any information you may have is

I've got a mystery Beyette in my husband's family tree--she married
an unknown BAILEY in Michigan but by 1920 was living in
Seneca Co NY.

The lady's first name on the 1920 census looks like
Josephia but it is almost illegible. She would have been
born in abt 1854 in Michigan, her father (BEYETTE) born in
France and Mother born in Canada. She had two children,
James Clifford Bailey b. 06 Jan 1895 in Michigan and
Dora Juanita Bailey b. 15 Nov 1901 also in Michigan.

If anyone has a BEYETTE female b. Michigan who
married a Mr. Bailey and had these two kids,

My father was Hubert Ward Beyette, Brig. Gen. USA, Ret. He was raised in San Angelo and Fort Worth, Texas. He was the son of Eustace Arthur Beyette and Bonnie Coker. E.A. Beyette was one of nine brothers and the twin brother of Paul. The Beyette brothers had a store in Fort Worth called "Beyette Brothers". Hubert Beyette married Idanthea Moffat of New York and Washington, DC, in 1927, while he was a White House Aide. They had three daughters, Idanthea, Bonnie Coker and Beverly Belle. I would like to know more about this Beyette family if someone can help me.

I have a Paul Beyette (1867-1922) married to Susie Virginia Schultz (1878-1966). He owned a confectionary store in Denton in 1910. My mother lived with Cousin Susie in the late 1920's in Denton--I have pictures and other information as well as being posted on Worldconnect.rootsweb.com

I have been trying to confirm a relationship to my Margaret Beyette.
There is a Joseph Beyette who was married to Julie Philomene Bergevin-Longeway.
A Louis Thomas Beyette married to Euphrosine Longeway.
Also a Rosalie Ann Beyette married to Charles Longeway.
Since my Margaret lived very close to all these other Beyettes I suspect they could be siblings.
Let me know what you find on the film.

Hi I was on the net and seen you are trying to find relative of your
husbands. I guess the Beyette's of the USA are not aware that all
Beyette's are related in one way or another. It is a very uncommon
name as
you have found out. in 1994 we had a beyette family reunion and invited
everyone with the last name Beyette. I thought I should let you know.
