I have some information about my husband's family. I sat down with my Father-in-law recently and jotted down a few notes as he was giving me a run down on the Beseau family tree. (He is 93 years old) His family originated in Alsace, Lorraine France. His Great Grandfather's Name was Henry Beseau. He was married to Minnie Bermbaumer (I’m not sure if that is how you spell her last name and he doesn’t know what Minnie was short for.) The family left France and moved through Canada. I am not sure if they settled their first. Anyway, his Great Grandfather Henry and a relative owned the territory of Detroit Michigan. His relative left Michigan and moved to Texas and somehow screwed Henry out of the land deal. This would be during the times territories were being claimed. I believe he also said that Henry was married three times so I imagine there are step siblings.
His Father’s name was Fredrick Beseau and his Mother’s name was Mary Elizabeth Spenser or Spensor, not sure of the spelling. They had four boys; Charles, Reginald, James, and Vincent (my father in law) And they had four girls: Philomena, Margaret, Anita, and Regina (James is the youngest and he and my Father in law are the only two surviving.) Also not sure of birth order.
There was an Uncle Francois that was a world traveler and he worked on the family lineage and was able to connect our lineage across the world. Before he passed away he handed over all of his documentation to the Salt Lake City Utah archives. He kept in contact over the years with my sister in law, Theresa. I will contact her when I get some time to see what all he told her and if she kept any documents. I know they corresponded by mail for several years before he passed away.
My Father In law is Vincent Joseph Beseau (Born December 1st 1919) and married Angeline Marie Shepherds (could be Sheperds, not sure and she is diseased) their children: Patricia, Gregory, Alma, Vivian, Theresa, Belinda, Mary, Vincent, and Jeffrey; diseased.
They have 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
