Hi Amanda!
Please feel free to email me at CateZ28@aol.com. I hope you received the email I sent to you from that email address. Anthony was my father's name. He died in 1953, in Buffalo. He died before I was born so I really know nothing about him other than what I was told by my mother. I know he had other children from another marriage. I have never met them and I don't know if they know that I even exist. I would love to at least have some contact with them. But if they prefer not to, then that's fine. I hope this information helps you. If you'd like to contact me and talk more, please let me know. If we are related, I would love to know more about my father's family. It would be my pleasure to talk to you! I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Cathy

BIANCA/BIANCO FROM WEST VIRGINIA AND ITALY

I am looking for information regarding my husband's family. His paternal grandmother, Angela (Angeline) Bianca was born in Braton, WV to "Joe" and Maria Bianca in Nov. 1904. Both Joe and Maria were born in Italy, so I would guess that Joe's real name is Guiseppe. My father-in-law has told me that Joe owned a farm in Italy and worked on farms in WV. Maria had a daughter had a daughter named Concetta with her first husband who's last name is Calacone). Joe and Maria had other children, Sarafina (died at about 7yrs in a building collapse) and Vito (Vito had a twin that died as an infant). Concetta, Sarafina and Vito remained in Italy when Maria (who was pregnant with Angela) left to join Joe in WV. Angela and Maria returned to Italy when Angela was 22 mos. old (I believed they lived in Foggia, Italy). My father-in-law believes Joe remained in the US and started another family.

I should note that when Angela returned to the US in 1924, the ships manifest lists her as Angela BIANCO. Though the family believes her last name was Bianca, it is possible that the family name is Bianco. Angela was married in Spokane, WA to a man named Joe Castanza and later was married to Elia (Anthony) Saponara, my husband's grandfather.

I am looking for information regarding Joe, his ancestors and his offspring.

Thank you.

I'm sorry but I don't have any records on that name. When did she pass away?

There are two Bianca families in Baltimore. They are related somehow but no one seems to know how. My husband's grandparents Francesco Bianca and Giacomina Morcato came to Baltimore from Sicily. They were probably siblings or cousins of the other Bianca's. I have most of the names for our Bianca family but not many for the other.
